The Cape Town Break is new in our offer. But we are very happy with it! During this Break you will often have pain in your jaws. Your mouth always falls open when you see this beautiful country. In our opinion, it is truly one of the most beautiful countries in the world. You and your group will live and work in Cape Town for 6 weeks. How about teaching football or hockey to children or working at an animal shelter? Cape Town is a modern city with an ancient (VOC) history. Many street names and places in this city remind us of the time when our ancestors walked here
Cape Town has got the vibe
You will live in a very nice hostel in the middle of a nice neighborhood with all kinds of restaurants and cafes. So plenty to do. During the day you work as a volunteer; We offer a very diverse selection. During the weekend we will experience exciting adventures. How about whale watching, ziplining and kayaking in Hout Bay? We will go wave boarding and if you have nerves of steel we can go shark cage diving. In short, you will certainly not be bored during this Break. Actually, we don’t think you’ll want to go home after you’ve been here for 6 weeks.
PROGRAM Cape town BREAK
Just like our other gap year trips, you will work in Cape Town during the week as a volunteer at an institution selected by us. We will also take you there the first time and if you prefer a different workplace, this is always negotiable. You will live for 6 weeks in a hostel where many other young people from all over the world also live. This way you will also make many new contacts outside the group.
Many exciting excursions & educational activities
During your Break we organize many exciting excursions and educational activities. The hostel also organizes all kinds of fun things every day, so you won’t be bored during this trip. There is a weekly open air movie night and a BBQ is organized every week where you can meet many new people. Of course there is also plenty of time to go to the beach. Our Dutch supervisor lives nearby. She knows the area and will do all kinds of fun things with you. Do you have other talents that you would like to do more with? The Cape Town Break is the ideal time to get started with this.

Cape Town
The city, located in the southwestern tip of South Africa, was originally a refreshment station for Dutch ships en route to East Africa, the Indies or the Far East. The Dutch in the service of the VOC created vegetable gardens and traces of those old Dutch activities can still be visited.
From a small port city, Cape Town grew into the largest city in South Africa. Thanks to its nature and its location at the foot of the famous Table Mountain, Cape Town is a popular international destination for young people.
The Hostel
You will live in the middle of Cape Town. We found a super nice place there. The hostel is called Never@Home and it is located in Kloofstraat. There are many nice cafes and restaurants in this street. The great thing about Cape Town is that a lot of young people live there. This also makes it very affordable to go out for dinner. At the hostel, breakfast is included and you share your room with several Breakers. It depends on the group size how many people you will be in a room with, but we keep the girls and the boys separate. The hostel organizes many fun activities such as open air film evenings and a weekly BBQ, so you won't be bored here.

Cape town BREAK AFFORDABLE?
The Cape Town Break lasts 6 weeks and costs 2975 euros. For this you will receive 6 weeks of accommodation in a very nice hostel in the middle of Cape Town. Your breakfast is included and you share your room with several roommates. There are cooking facilities in the hostel and shops nearby. Fortunately, the prices of restaurants in Cape Town are very affordable, so you can also go out for a nice meal every now and then. The hostel has a nice bar and fun activities are organized daily in the hostel. So you don’t have to be bored.
Cape Town Break works
During the Cape Town Break you can choose from different workplaces. You can work at a school where you can teach children. Or how about a special football project; you will give football training and in the afternoon you will give language lessons to children.
Provide football or hockey training
In addition to playing football, you can also work at the Cape Town hockey club. You can train here and also provide hockey training yourself. You can also choose to work with animals.
